Frequently Asked Questions

What are your fees?

A typical session will last 55 minutes and cash rates are $100/session for individuals and $120/session for couples/family sessions. You are expected to pay session fees at the beginning of the session. Prices may be negotiated due to financial hardship and at the discretion of the therapist. I am not affiliated with any insurance panels at this time.

Are our sessions confidential?

Under normal circumstances, everything discussed inside or outside of session will be held in strict confidence. However, you should be aware that there are some situations in which I may be required to report information to the proper authorities and/or an appropriate family member without your permission:

  1. I am mandated to report physical and/or sexual abuse of a minor.
  2. I am mandated to report physical/sexual abuse of a dependent minor.
  3. I am mandated to report threats of suicide or homicide.
  4. Information required by law.
  5. Information necessary for supervision or consultation. (I consult regularly with licensed professionals regarding clients with whom I am working. This allows me to gain other perspectives and insight as to how to best help you reach your goals. Such possible consultations are obtained in a way that complete confidentiality is maintained. Otherwise, information may only be shared if you sign an authorization for release of information that specifies who is to receive the information and the nature of the information to be shared.)

What is your cancellation policy?

Regular attendance is a critical factor for successful therapy and your appointment is reserved exclusively for you. Please notify me as soon as possible in the event you can not attend an appointment. I request at least 24-hours notice of cancellation. Appointments cancelled within the 24-hour period will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. To cancel or reschedule, you may leave a voicemail, email or text.

Do you maintain records or other paperwork?

Records are maintained on each client. Records may contain the following: identifying information; session notes/ any reports from other professionals regarding your treatment; any correspondence or other materials that you send to me; copies of any correspondence about you that I send to others. These records are meant to be a working document to both reflect and guide your therapeutic work. Your records are confidential and may only be accessed by me and my direct supervisor. You may request access to your records, but this can be denied if I believe this access could bring harm to you or others.
